The recording booths are located in the Scholar Studio, on the main floor of Hunter Library. You will need to stop at the circulation desk to check out the key to the booth. This booth contains a 27" iMac running OS High Sierra. The computer has all basic Mac software, including Garage Band and iMovie. The following software is also installed: Final Cut Pro X, Logic Pro X, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Studio One. The recording setup includes headphones, a Blue Yeti Pro microphone on a studio arm, a webcam, an adjustable ring light, and a wireless keyboard and mouse. The booth also contains an easy recording setup called One Button Studio. You should have a way of saving your work in the booth, either on your own device (flash drive, external drive, etc.) or a cloud service where you can upload your work. If you don't have a drive with you, you can check one out from the circulation desk. Terms & Conditions: --Use of the recording booths is limited to current faculty, staff, and students of WCU. --The recording booth must be reserved prior to use. Reservations may be made up to 2 weeks in advance. --Each individual may reserve a booth for up to 4 hours a day and a total of 8 hours a week. --Individuals who do not arrive within 15 minutes of their reserved time will forfeit their reservation. --Occupants are responsible for the tidiness and cleanliness of the room. --No food or drink, except for water in a covered container, is allowed in the recording booth. --Recording booths are intended for individual use, but the space can accommodate up to 2 people if necessary. --Note: The recording booth is a 6’x8’ booth with an ADA-compliant door containing a small window. The interior of the booth contains a table, chair, and recording equipment. The open/usable space in the booth is approximately 5’ x 5.5’.
